SkyeConnect is delighted to announce that its Spring Conference this year will be entitled 'Taking Carbon out of Tourism'.
The event at Dunvegan Castle on 10th March focuses on initiatives that businesses can take themselves to reduce their carbon footprint and the support that is available for them from public sector agencies.
Two chaired panel sessions will focus on supply chain issues and transport including case study presentations from businesses and public sector interventions, such as transport and business energy audits.
The afternoon sessions will address the issues of the importance of advocacy in affecting official decision making, together with an overview of the potential Transient Visitor Levy and Short Term Lets regulation from the perspective of the Association of Scotland’s Self Caterers.The programme for the day can be seen at this link .
The conference will close with the keynote address by Marc Crothall, CEO of the Scottish Tourism Alliance.
There will be a mid-morning coffee break and a seafood, vegetarian and vegan buffet lunch, a leaflet swap and weather permitting a tour of the castle and gardens.
