SkyeConnect is working in partnership with Highland Council to assess further options at three iconic sites in the north of Skye, the Fairy Pools, the Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr. This a project to look at enviromental issues and infrastructure opportunities with a remit to address pressure issues and to encourage dispersal of visitors. Did you know that the Fairy Pools is expected to exceed 181k visits in 2019 and the Old Man of Storr will surpass more than 225k. These are figures produced by Highland Council's Access team based on measuring equipment at these and other Skye locations.
We will update when the first phase of the study is complete.
