The week that has brought us a step closer to reopening and has also marked the 15th night of frost in the Highlands for April, something that hasn’t happened for a long time. So any of you feeling guilty about not having planted your tatties, don’t worry, you have done the right thing this year!

Edinburgh Centre for Data Presentation

In recent years, we have established a good working relationship with the Edinburgh Centre for Data, Culture and Society. The centre’s recent research looked at likely intentions to visit Edinburgh, Glasgow and Skye. We are pleased to be able to offer local operators the chance to sign up for a free presentation of the findings on  Thursday 29th April at 4.00 PM

Developing the Young Workforce Webinar

The local DYW (Developing the Young Workforce) programme is presenting a Hospitality Careers Insight webinar on Wednesday 28th April from 2.00-3.15pm. The event will showcase current hospitality jobs, apprenticeships and college courses and is aimed at pupils, school leavers and young people up to the age of 25. SkyeConnect Election Hustings

The event will be presented by SkyeConnect Chair, Dave Till and will provide members and the wider Skye Community with an opportunity to submit questions in advance to the four candidates for the Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch constituency – John Erskine (Scottish Labour Party), Kate Forbes (Scottish National Party), Jamie Halcro Johnston (Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party) and Denis Rixson (Scottish Liberal Democrat party). The event is open to all and questions for the candidates can be submitted to info@skye-connect.com by 6.00pm on Wednesday 28th.  Questions must be accompanied by a full name an address. Anonymous questions will not be considered.
